When I saw it, I
couldn’t believe what was going on…
A game testing
platform was really doing this? Surely what they were doing couldn’t last for
long.
Especially considering
how incredibly attractive game-testing already is. Some of the reasons being:
- You work from home. Nothing can be more convenient
- Your age doesn’t matter. All that matters is how good your feedback is.
- It probably has to be the most fun job in the world.
- Greater experience leads to better opportunities.
I mean what other
job does this?
For those who are new
to game testing, big game testing corporations that need their games tested during
development post their jobs on game testing platforms. Game testing platforms
typically require game testers to pay a monthly fee to access the platform
(typically $35-$40 per month). This fee is to keep away freeloaders who come to
get free games, and sometimes even leak games before their release date rather
than testing games.
This one platform has
dropped their fee to $27/month. And not only that, for a limited time (I couldn’t
see how this could last for long), they are letting people test their platform
for $1. That’s right, ONE dollar. That’s it. If you don’t like it, don’t continue.
What can I say, we
had it hard before. If you want to be a game tester, this is the best time to
